Like the saying goes, “It takes a village.” In the same way, there are many different modalities that can support you in becoming your best self. Each one has its own season—some you may lean on longer, others may simply meet you where you are right now. It’s perfectly okay to use all of them, or only a few, depending on what you need.
I hope these resources support you on your healing journey as deeply as they have supported me.

Earthing is one of the easiest activities you can do to help your mind and body. And IT’S FREE!
Earthing is also known as grounding and is the practice of connecting your body to the Earth's natural electric charge. It can involve walking barefoot, lying in the grass, or hugging a tree. When the body is in direct contact with the Earth it exchanges ions with the ground. Essentially the body absorbs electrons from the Earth neutralizing its charge and balancing the body’s electrical charge. Benefits of grounding can be reduced inflammation, improve sleep, pain relief, and a more balanced nervous system.

Listening to your body signals means paying attention to your body's cues and recognizing what they are trying to tell you. This can include physical sensations, emotions, and behaviors. How do you hear your body; (1) tune in and pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, (2) be mindful and look out for any unusual symptoms or changes, (3) be patient and listen without judgement and try to understand what your body is trying to communicate, and finally (4) ask your body what it needs and how you can take care of it better. Listening to your body reduces stress and overwhelming feelings which leads to improved health and fitness.

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that uses gentle touch to promote relaxation and well-being. It's based on the idea that a person's energy levels affect their health and mood. A Reiki practitioner places their hands lightly on or near the body and guides energy to help the body’s natural healing abilities. It reduces stress and promotes relaxation. Reiki is sometimes used in conjunction with conventional medical treatments.

Believe it or not, your thoughts can cause physical illness! Thought therapy can refer to a variety of therapies that use thoughts to improve mental health. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps you identify unproductive thoughts and replace them with more productive ones by making lists or recording your thoughts. This is effective in treating anxiety and depression. Positive thought therapy focuses on developing a more optimistic mindset and self-image. It is similar to CBT but has a more positive focus. It can help you to develop gratitude. Keep a gratitude journal by writing a few things you are grateful for each day. Thought field therapy (TFT) is a non-invasive technique that uses finger tapping on specific points of the body to treat mental and physical ailments. Tapping on specific points on your body while focusing on a particular negative emotion or issue to reduce the intensity of the thought and alleviate stress or discomfort.

This traditional Chinese medicine practice involves inserting very thin needles into specific points on the body to treat a wide range of conditions, including pain, headaches, and nausea. It is based on the principle of balancing the body's energy, or "qi," and aims to stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms by triggering the release of pain-relieving chemicals like endorphins.
